Serving the Chattanooga Area From Our Cartersville Shop
The distance works in your favor. Because we fabricate in Cartersville and deliver finished tops up the interstate, you get true custom work without a local markup. We’ve fitted stone in historic St. Elmo bungalows at the foot of Lookout Mountain, in walkable North Shore homes near Coolidge Park, and in newer East Brainerd builds out toward Hamilton Place. Whether your place sits on the Tennessee side or just over the line in North Georgia, the process is the same, and the estimate is always free.
Granite, Marble, and Quartz
Granite leads what we set, and for good reason: it’s natural stone, every slab one of a kind, and tough enough to shrug off knives and hot pans with a yearly reseal. Marble brings that soft, veined elegance for cooks who’ll treat it gently. Quartz is the engineered choice, non-porous and sealing-free, ideal if you want low upkeep and a consistent pattern. Many Chattanooga-area kitchens mix them: granite on the hardworking run, an island as the showpiece countertop. We fabricate all three as full custom countertops, and we’ll bring samples so you can compare them in your own light.
How the Job Goes
Four steps. First, a free in-home consultation where we talk about colors, layout, and budget, and leave samples behind. Next, we template your space down to the millimeter. Then we cut and finish the slabs at our shop. Finally, we install, usually in a single day, connecting the sink and faucet before we clean up. One crew handles it all, so scheduling stays simple even with a drive involved. Want numbers for your project? Ask for a free estimate on the contact page.
A wide range of materials. Hundreds of colors.
We offer natural stone countertops and engineered surfaces in a polished or honed finish — every kitchen we install starts with the right material selection.
Granite
The toughest natural stone option. Heat-resistant, scratch-tolerant, built to last decades. Every slab is one-of-a-kind. Needs sealing every 12–18 months.
Quartz
Engineered, non-porous, zero maintenance. Never needs sealing. The most popular pick for busy family kitchens. Hundreds of patterns.
Marble
Timeless veining and a luminous polished surface. The classic high-end choice. Needs more attentive care — worth it for the look.
Quartzite
Natural stone with an elegant veined look and granite-level durability. The choice for clients who want statement veining without high-maintenance upkeep.

Atlanta Surface Masters did an incredible job on our kitchen countertops. The stone is absolutely flawless, and the install crew was professional, clean and on time. It’s rare to find a company that delivers both high-end craftsmanship and great customer service, but they nailed both.
“We wanted something unique for our bathroom remodel, and ASM brought our vision to life. Their team walked us through stone options, edges, and finishes we hadn’t even considered. The final result looks like something out of a design magazine. Worth every penny.”

Questions Homeowners Ask
What is the downside to a quartz countertop?
A few things to weigh. Quartz isn’t as heat-tolerant as natural stone; a very hot pan set straight on it can scorch or discolor the resin, so trivets matter. It can also fade or yellow under constant direct sunlight, which makes it a poor pick for sun-soaked spots or outdoor kitchens. Premium colors cost more, seams may be visible on large runs, and damage is harder to repair than on solid granite. For many kitchens, it’s still the easiest surface to live with; it just isn’t indestructible.
What’s cheaper than granite countertops?
Several materials. Laminate is the most budget-friendly, followed by ceramic tile, butcher block, and solid surface. Each trades something away: laminate and solid surface scorch or scratch more easily, tile leaves grout lines to clean, and wood needs regular oiling. If you’d rather stay with real stone, entry-level granite colors and remnant slabs often cost less than buyers expect, close to those alternatives. We’re happy to show you the value end of the range at no charge.
