Kitchen Counters Made 15 Minutes Up the Road

Our shop sits at 1105 Hwy 293 in Cartersville, about 15 minutes north of Acworth, GA on I-75. That short hop matters more than it sounds. It lets us template your kitchen, cut the slab in our own Georgia facility, and bring it back finished, without the delays that come from sending fabrication out to a third party.

Acworth kitchens aren’t all cut from the same cloth, and neither are the jobs. We’ve set honed perimeters in the restored cottages near Main Street, and the old depot, fitted waterfall islands in newer builds out toward Governors Towne Club, and worked the larger floor plans through Bentwater. An island that looks right in a lakeside renovation near Allatoona reads differently in a traditional brick ranch, so the stone, edge, and seam placement get decided per home, never by formula. Want to see samples in your own lighting? Ask about a free consultation, and we’ll bring popular slabs to your door.

Questions Homeowners Ask

How much should I budget for kitchen countertops in Acworth?

Your total comes down to the material, slab thickness, square footage, edge profile, number of cutouts, and how much of the old surface needs to be pulled out. Standard 3cm slabs cover most layouts, while rarer stone and decorative edges push the number up. Labor and hauling away the old tops also factor in. Rather than guessing, Atlanta Surface Masters sends someone to your home, measures, and provides you with detailed pricing for free before you decide on anything.

What’s cheaper than granite countertops?

Laminate is the lowest-cost option, followed by ceramic tile, butcher block, and solid surface such as Corian. Each gives something up: laminate and solid surface scratch and scorch more readily, tile leaves grout to scrub, and wood wants regular oiling. If you’d like real stone closer to that price, entry-level granite colors and certain engineered lines often come in lower than people expect. Ask us to show you the value end of the range during a sample visit.

What is the most durable countertop material?

It depends on what you mean by durable. Granite handles heat the best of the three. Quartz wins in stain and bacteria resistance because it’s non-porous and requires no sealing. Marble is the softest and reacts to acids, so it fits lighter-use spaces better. For a hard-working kitchen, most Acworth families settle on quartz or granite. We’ll match the stone to how you actually cook, not just to how it looks on a small sample.

Is granite more expensive than quartz?

Usually, they overlap. Entry-level granite often starts a touch below quartz, while rare, exotic stone can climb well past standard engineered slabs. Over time, quartz can work out cheaper since it never needs resealing, whereas granite needs a quick reseal every 12 to 18 months. Honestly, your specific slab matters more than the category does. We’ll price both options during your free in-home estimate so you can compare real figures, not averages.

Do you serve all of Acworth?

Yes. We cover the entire Acworth area and nearby Lake City neighborhoods, from downtown and the Main Street district to lakeside homes near Lake Acworth and Allatoona, as well as communities like Bentwater and Governors Towne Club. Our Cartersville shop is roughly 15 minutes out, so lining up a template and installation is simple. We also serve nearby towns, including Cartersville, Canton, Dallas, and Woodstock. Get in touch, and we’ll confirm timing for your street.
