The Hometown Advantage
Being local isn’t just a tagline for us. Cartersville sits about 44 miles north of Atlanta, and we’ve spent years fitting countertops in exactly these houses: the historic homes in the North Wall and North Erwin Street districts near downtown, the newer subdivisions out toward Lake Allatoona and Red Top Mountain, and plenty of places in between. Because fabrication happens minutes from your door, a local job moves faster than one routed through a far-off shop. We measure, cut, and install with our own crew, so the same people who template your kitchen are the ones who set the counter. Stop by, or have us come to you.
Granite, Marble, and the Engineered Option
All three earn their place, and we fabricate each in-house. Granite is the workhorse: natural stone, every slab unique, heat-tolerant, and a reseal once a year keeps it sharp for decades, which is why granite countertops still anchor so many kitchens here. Quartz is the low-maintenance favorite, engineered and non-porous, so it never needs sealing. Marble is the showpiece that has a veined, luminous look; nothing else quite matches, in exchange for gentler care. Not sure which suits your cooking and your budget? We’ll bring full samples to your home so you can see them in your own light.
How the Work Gets Done
Four steps, and most installs finish in a single day. We start with a consultation about colors, budget, and materials. Then we template your space precisely once you’ve picked a slab. Cutting, shaping, and polishing happen at our Cartersville shop. On installation day, the old surface comes out, the new one goes in, and the sink and faucet get reconnected before cleanup, a clean countertop installation start to finish. Since one local crew handles it all, scheduling stays simple, and quality remains consistent. Ready to begin? Request a free quote on the contact page.
A wide range of materials. Hundreds of colors.
We offer natural stone countertops and engineered surfaces in a polished or honed finish — every kitchen we install starts with the right material selection.
Granite

Quartz
Engineered, non-porous, zero maintenance. Never needs sealing. The most popular pick for busy family kitchens. Hundreds of patterns.
Marble
Timeless veining and a luminous polished surface. The classic high-end choice. Needs more attentive care — worth it for the look.
Quartzite
Natural stone with an elegant veined look and granite-level durability. The choice for clients who want statement veining without high-maintenance upkeep.

Atlanta Surface Masters did an incredible job on our kitchen countertops. The stone is absolutely flawless, and the install crew was professional, clean and on time. It’s rare to find a company that delivers both high-end craftsmanship and great customer service, but they nailed both.
“We wanted something unique for our bathroom remodel, and ASM brought our vision to life. Their team walked us through stone options, edges, and finishes we hadn’t even considered. The final result looks like something out of a design magazine. Worth every penny.”

Questions Homeowners Ask
What’s the average cost for kitchen countertops?
In 2026, expect roughly $40 to $115 per square foot installed for granite, $50 to $150 for engineered surfaces, and $60 to $150 for marble, with budget laminate far lower. A typical 40 to 50-square-foot kitchen usually costs $3,000 to $7,500 once cutouts, edges, and old-surface removal are included. Those are general market figures, not our quote. Since we fabricate locally, you skip the middleman markup, and we’ll measure and price your exact layout for free.
What does vinegar do to granite?
Skip it. Vinegar is acidic, and over time, it dulls the polish on granite and breaks down the sealer that protects the surface; marble is even more sensitive and can etch quickly. For everyday cleaning, warm water with a little dish soap or a pH-neutral stone cleaner is all you need. Reseal it about once a year and promptly wipe up acidic spills from wine, citrus, or tomato. When treated kindly, a good surface easily lasts for decades.
Which is cheaper, quartz or granite?
They overlap more than people expect. Entry-level granite often starts a little below quartz, while premium designer slabs climb well past mid-range options. Our pricing runs about $40 to $115 installed, and the engineered option is a bit higher. Over time, the engineered surface can cost less since it never needs resealing. Honestly, the specific slab matters more than the category, and we’ll price both side by side for free.
What is the most popular kitchen countertop right now?
Quartz. The National Kitchen and Bath Association’s 2026 forecast puts it well ahead of every other surface, largely due to its no-sealing convenience and consistent patterns. Granite holds steady in second among buyers who want genuine natural stone and better heat tolerance. For a hard-working kitchen here, plenty of our clients still choose the real thing. We’ll match the material to how you actually cook, not just to a trend.
What’s cheaper than granite countertops?
Several options. Laminate is the lowest cost, followed by ceramic tile, butcher block, and solid surface. Each gives something up: laminate and solid surface scratch or scorch more easily, tile leaves grout lines, and wood needs oiling. If you want real stone at a price closer to granite, entry-level colors and remnants are often cheaper than people expect. We’re glad to show you the value end of the range during a free visit.
